The Waterfall

We got to sleep in a little bit today but as soon as we went down to breakfast I was busy till dark. We drove through the country side to get to a lake and we got to hike around it and go to a few lookouts. My brother had a lot of fun on the play area where there was a huge balance beam made of logs.

Next we went to a huge waterfall. My parents wanted to take a picture of me on an old bridge under the waterfall, so I went on the bridge and got soaked. We climbed back down and got lunch at a place where there were only two choices, tuna or chicken. I had the tuna which turned out to be a whole tuna including the skin and bones.

After lunch, we went to an old church with about 300 steps to get to the top. We went all the way to the top, the view was beautiful. We went inside the church and saw that it was built on the side of a rock. Some of the walls were stilll made of the cliff wall.

After that we went to a museum that used to be someones house, then it turned into the area where they signed the peace treaty so that ecuador could be its own country and then it turned into a museum. It had all the important pieces from the peace treaty signing in it, as well as a little bit of history.

We went back to the hotel boutique to get dressing in our fancier clothes to go to dinner with some friends that live in cuenca. After we were done we went back to the hotel boutique and we started packing because tommorrow, we leave to go home.
